Heavy rains. Standing water. Crashes. 24 solid hours of breakneck racing speeds. Over 200 vehicles, engines, and auto components pushed to the limit—alongside 700+ drivers.
There’s good reason the 24 Hours of Nürburgring Race is considered the world’s foremost automotive endurance contest.
p-Chip on the Track
From September 24th – 27th 2020, the p-Chip team tagged critical performance components for Getspeed Performance race cars competing in this grueling test of automotive stamina.
Exceedingly small, secure, and tough as nails, p-Chip tracking chips withstood the arduous conditions of Nürburgring with stunning success.
To track parts and test chip endurance, p-Chip attached 50 trackers each to 3 of GetSpeed race team’s Mercedes Benz AMG GT critical performance components, for a total of 150 chips on parts such as
- Cylinder heads
- Electrical parts
- Cooling systems
- Brake systems
- And more
Over 4 consecutive days of qualifying laps and racing, the p-Chips performed with incredible consistency.
100% of the chips survived the race. After the contest, our team re-read tested p-Chips to confirm proper functionality.
The test verified p-Chips’ reliability and endurance, even under the most extreme conditions.
